This was a very interesting project in that the client wanted some element of a mermaid incorporated into it. I worked this theme into the ring through shape and texture. The texture was created by the engraved scales on the shank. The shape of the ring when looked at from the profile (bottom of the shank to the top of the micro pavé) resembles a mermaid tail. The micro pavé on the top of the ring also adds texture and color from all of the refracted light through the diamonds.
